Two – Three Years
Your little angels are now striding forward with confidence and taking their next exciting step into our toddler room, where life becomes busier, more curious, and full of discovery.
The 2–3 Room is run by:

With a wide range of continuous provision, the children are often spoilt for choice — from role play and construction to creative activities and quiet areas for calm time. There is always something engaging to capture their imaginations.
This room continues to support key areas of development, including building friendships, understanding emotions, becoming more independent, and exploring the world around them.
The 2–3 room has its own garden area directly accessible from the room, allowing free-flow outdoor play throughout the day. The children also visit the larger garden at least twice daily, giving them plenty of space to run, ride, and burn off energy before home time.
After lunch, the children who need rest enjoy sleep time on individual sleep mats with fresh, clean linens. For those who don’t sleep, a range of calm, engaging activities is always available.
At this age, children love to be independent, so staff encourage as much self-help as possible while offering gentle support whenever it’s needed.
A two-year progress check is completed in this room by each child’s key person. This assessment focuses on the three prime areas of learning within the EYFS:

These checks are carried out in the term following each child’s second birthday, and a copy is provided to parents and carers.
