Garden
Our outdoor facilities allow every child, regardless of age or stage of development, to connect with nature, be physically active and enjoy the fresh air. By using the outdoors as an extension of our learning environment, children become more engaged in their learning, develop important social skills and, most importantly, have great fun.
With a combination of hard and soft landscaping, our garden areas are exciting and inviting spaces. They have been carefully designed to encourage natural curiosity, exploration and discovery. Each outdoor area is well equipped to meet the needs of specific age groups, offering a wide range of learning experiences.
Children are able to discover and experiment with a variety of natural materials including sand, water, plants, mud, flowers and compost. Exploring bug life in the garden opens up a world of wonder and provides excellent opportunities for discussion, such as identifying mini beasts, exploring colours, counting legs and learning about habitats and diets.
Children also have the opportunity to plant seeds in our dedicated growing area and watch them develop over time. They learn how plants grow, the importance of sunlight and water, and take responsibility for caring for them. Our older children enjoy harvesting the crops they have grown and are always excited to taste the fruit and vegetables they have helped to nurture — a wonderful way to encourage healthy eating and an appreciation for fresh food.
