From the age of 3 to 12 months, the babies develop and enjoy a variety of activities, from painting, cooking to water play to treasure baskets, to construction and story time. During all of these activities, the babies receive security, love and a strong bond with their allocated key worker. Pixies practitioners are experienced in using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. With observations and child initiated activities your child will be nurtured to reach his or her full potential.
Working on a 1:3 ratio, the babies receive a nutritious diet in line with their stages of development. Their individual routines help the transition from home to nursery run as smoothly as possible.

When the babies grow into toddlers, they move into the "big room" where it becomes one big party!
The children begin to form strong friendships while they stomp about in the garden or cook up a feast in the home corner and decide if they should build a Duplo house or paint a masterpiece.
The fun continues as the children develop their own characters in a safe, warm and loving environment.

The final stage in PiXieS is to the Pre-School where the children enhance their skills to prepare for independence and self help skills whilst supported by their key person.
Fun and games is top of the list while the children's key workers evaluate and monitor their progress whilst helping them along to further their development.
Fine motor skills, colouring, role play and anything that makes a mess will be enjoyed by all Pre-School children. We will often find children disguised as space troopers investigating the landing of an unusual space craft in the garden or going on a bear hunt through rivers and mud! But beware, the laughter and chatter amongst this busy group is way off the richter scale!
